History of Window to Wisconsin
In 1988, two sisters decided to go into business together. One sister was craft-oriented, and the other was photography-oriented. After doing a few art/craft shows together, they decided to part ways because they were interested in different types of shows. The photography sister called her fledgling business Window to Wisconsin. She liked the alliterative sound to the name and it reflected her photographic interest. Her niche in the art show circuit would be Wisconsin country and nature scenes. As the years past, she won awards at art shows in Wisconsin and Illinois. In 1998, she designed and successfully sold a poster called Wisconsin ABCs for the state's sesquicentennial celebration. It was also her 10th year as a professional photographer. Over the years, her interest in photography expanded to include architectural and portrait photography for a few clients such as the Milwaukee Art Museum, Girl Scouts and the Milwaukee Athletic Club. She also works as a graphic designer and editor and accepts freelance projects in this area. Click here to learn more about her awards and past shows. Stop back often to see her photos or read her blog. Look around, and if you see something you like, go ahead and order it. Her photos are available at local galleries and art shows during the summer. |
